Hanover woman wins lottery

Kansas Lottery officials Friday introduced the emotional great-grandmother from Hanover as the Super Kansas Cash jackpot winner. Camden correctly matched all six numbers that were drawn.  After taxes, Camden will receive a check for $950,091 — or 70 percent of the jackpot.  Camden is an office manager at Lineweber & Sons Inc. in Hanover. Secret shopper program may be a secret fraud

A fraudulent cashier’s check scheme has been reported in Northeast Kansas. According to law enforcement a citizen received a letter from a company called BESTMARK out of Minnetonka, Minnesota.  The letter advised them that they had been selected to participate in a,“ Secret Shopper” program. Washington County Sheriff Department executes search warrant

Search For Vehicle Involved in Burglary and Forgery Case

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and Wamego Police Department are asking for public assistance in locating a vehicle believed to be involved in a check forgery ring.
