Jumpers Get Jayhawks Off to Strong Start in Arkansas



Friday Results // Jayhawk victories in both the men's and women's high jump got Kansas track & field's weekend off to a fast start Friday evening at the John McDonnell Invitational. Seniors Nick Giancana and Colleen O'Brien tallied wins in their respective competitions, while junior Lindsay Vollmer turned in a career best in the high jump en route to a runner-up finish.

Home Runs, Records and Milestones, Oh My!



With just one swing of the bat from Maddie Stein, a record was broken and a milestone victory achieved. Stein's fourth home run of the season lifted No. 22 Kansas to a 5-4 decision over Georgia State, making the senior KU's all-time RBI leader and marking head coach Megan Smith's 300th career win, on Sunday afternoon at Arrocha Ballpark.

Behrmann’s Grand Slam Seals No. 22 Kansas’ Win over EMU



Sophomore Lily Behrmann took advantage of a bases loaded situation and sent one deep over the centerfield wall to register her first career grand slam and Kansas' ninth of the season. The bases clearing blast led No. 22 Kansas to a 13-2 victory over Eastern Michigan Friday afternoon in Arrocha Ballpark.

Bowen Vaults to All-America Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships



RESULTS // Junior Casey Bowen earned a seventh-place finish in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Championships Friday night inside the Randal Tyson Track Center. Bowen's finished earned him first team All-America honors for the first time in his career and marked the 23rd time a Jayhawk pole vaulter has taken home All-America honors from the indoor national championships, the most of any team in nation.

Gardner Earns Second Big 12 Weekly Honor in 2014-15



Kansas senior forward Chelsea Gardner was named the season's final Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the week, as voted on by a panel of media covering the conference. The accolades marks Gardner's second player of the week honor this season and fourth in her career.
