Testimony in the Macomber Trial Began on Tuesday

The trial of Stephen Macomber started on Tuesday. Seven of nine expected prosecution witnesses testified on Tuesday. Marshall County Deputy Fernando Salcedo showed jurors scars on his wrist and back from gunshot wounds suffered during the shootout. Two Seneca teenagers were injured in a one vehicle accident on Saturday. Karla Henry and Kaylee Bontrager, both age 16, of Seneca were injured when the car they were riding in swerved to miss another vehicle, entered a ditch and rolled over. Marshall County Fire Trucks Respond to a Call of a Vehicle on Fire

Marshall County Fire Chief Dave Richardson reported that fire units responded to 1010 North Street in Marysville for a report of a car on fire.  Upon arrival they located a small fire in the engine compartment of an SUV.  The fire was caused by leaves next to a heater core.  Chief Richardson reported the damage to the car was minimal.
