Arson Suspected In Linn Recycling Trailer Fire

Last Tuesday evening, Linn Fire Department answered a call around 7 p.m. to a fire at the Washington County Recycling Trailer, parked near the grocery store in Linn. Cause of the fire was ruled arson. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff at 785-325-2293.

Marysville Volunteer Fire Department Responds To Combine Fire

The Marysville Volunteer Fire Department responded Saturday afternoon to a combine on fire five miles south of town on the West River Road. Owned by Bernard Dwerlkotte, the combine was totaled. Late Sunday afternoon, they responded to a call of a possible fire at the County Transfer Station, which turned out to be a neighboring farmer burning brush.
