Recent rains have boosted farmers’ hopes for an improved fall harvest. Marshall County is among the state’s top soybean producing counties. Last year farmers planted 149,000 acres to beans, the most of any county. Nemaha County Sheriff’s Dept assists in pursuit

A pursuit that started in Platte County, Missouri ends in Nemaha County Saturday afternoon. It started with a report of a stolen pickup in Platte County, with 2 male suspects. Once they crossed the state line into Buchanan County, they traveled through Atchison, where police put spike strips down, however that didn’t stop them, it just took out the passenger side tires. From ... Resurface Project scheduled to begin this week.

A resurfacing project is scheduled to begin this week on Highway 36 in Brown County, where about 12 miles of the highway will be resurfaced from the west city limits of Hiawatha, westward to the Nemaha/Brown County Line.
