Rural Beatrice Teen Injured In Beatrice Vehicle Collision

An injury accident was reported in Beatrice Sunday evening around 6:40 p.m. at Tenth and Lincoln. Drivers of the vehicles were not identified. A 17-year-old rural Beatrice girl was injured, and transported to Beatrice Community Hospital, when she reportedly passed a stop sign, and struck a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old rural Beatrice boy, who was not injured.

Fire Destroys House South Of Beatrice Tuesday

A fire Tuesday afternoon south of Beatrice destroyed a home near South Tenth and Linden Roads. Wymore, Blue Springs, and Beatrice city and rural fire departments responded three miles south of Beatrice shortly before 5 pm. No one was at home at the time. The state fire marshal was called in to investigate the fire’s origin, which remains undetermined.

No injuries were reported late Thursday evening in Beatrice as a vehicle struck an apartment at the Prairie Village Apartment Complex on East Scott Street. The vehicle involved was totaled, after the driver attempted to park, realized the vehicle was moving, and got back in, hitting the accelerator instead of the brake.
