Farmers Waiting for Crops to Dry

Area farmers are still waiting for corn to dry out. Lyle Brooks, Branch Manager for Beattie Co-op in Beattie reports that only a few corn and soybean deliveries have been made to the Co-op. Brooks said that farmers are waiting for crops to dry out before harvesting. He expects to see many farmers harvesting soybeans in the next few days. ... Read More »

Escapee Captured

The Kansas Department of corrections has reported that Ronny Dale Peters an escape from Lansing Correctional Center has been apprehended, Peters was found in the area of Gardner, Kansas Friday morning. Additional criminal charges against Peters are pending. Read More »

Three Area Schools Celebrate Homecoming Friday

Three area schools will celebrate homecoming of Friday. Hanover Homecoming Queen candidates are: Lydia Hynek, Sydney Pralle, and Katlin Hagedorn. Three Area Army Reservists Killed in Helicopter Crash

A suspect is in custody in connection with an early-morning burglary and several attempted burglaries in Marysville on Wednesday, according to police. Red Cross Emergency Trailer will be Based in Marysville
