Nemaha Valley Community Hospital was recently designated a Level Four Trauma Center, one of 17 in Kansas. The designation recognizes the hospitals ability to provide emergency care, with a primary role to stabilize seriously injured patients, and if necessary, transfer them to a higher level trauma center. Fairbury Woman Sentenced for Murder

A Fairbury woman was sentenced to life in prison for killing her husband.  Laura DeJong was sentenced by District Judge Paul Korslund on Thursday in Jefferson County District Court.
