Nemaha County Sheriff Investigating Thefts

Several thefts were reported by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department. Harvest Estimates Fall

Marshall, Washington, and Nemaha Counties are three of the most fortunate counties in Kansas when it comes to harvest. Kansas Agricultural Statistics, Cattle & Hay Numbers

Information concerning 2009 statewide hay estimates and 2010 cattle estimates was released this week by Kansas Agricultural Statistics. Kansas alfalfa production totaled 3.66-million tons in 2009 – a 27% increase above 2008 production. The cattle numbers statewide in 2010 are down about 5% from the previous year.
