Beatrice Council Approves Tax Levy For Airport Renovation

The Beatrice City Council passed a resolution authorizing an additional tax levy for airport authority bonds. A $5.5 million dollar renovation of the Beatrice Airport is proposed, with 90% funding from the Federal Aviation Administration. Reconstruction is planned for the deteriorating primary runway. Marysville City Council Discusses Water & Sewer Rates

Water and sewer rate increases were discussed at Mondays Marysville City Council meeting.  The council voted down a request by council-members Vicky Gross and Dennis Schroller that would have waived two remaining years of water rate increases planned. The vote was 2 for, and 4 against. They did however vote to repeal 2014 and 2015 proposed increases in sewer rates. …

KCI cancelling many flights for tonight and tomorrow.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Aviation Department reports that many flights scheduled for Monday evening and Tuesday morning at Kansas City International Airport have been cancelled due to the region’s incoming snow storm.
