Bob Fisher of Centralia Sets A Second World Record

A new world record for the most free throws in two minutes was set Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Valley Heights High School. Bob Fisher of Centralia, Kansas made 88 in two minutes to break the previous record of 68 which was held by Rick Rosser of Alabama. This is the second world record for Fisher as he set the most free throws in one minute with 50 on January 9, 2010.

Marysville Lady Bulldogs pull off a second upset

Marysville Lady Bulldogs upset #3 Kansas City Christian by a score of 50-45.  Marysville led most of the game.  Their largest lead was 7 points in the first half.  KC Christian came back after the half and kept the score close until the final minute when Marysville widened the lead with several freethrows.  Marysville will play in the Sub-state final Saturday at 6:00 P.M.  The game will be live on KNDY AM 1570

Washington County Girls hold off Nemaha Valley

Washington County girls hold off  the Nemaha Valley girls in a back and forth game that came down to the last 30 seconds of play.  Washington County was able to sink several freethrows in the last 28 seconds and together with a critical turnover by Nemaha Valley went on to win the game 54-51.

LADY BULLDOGS DEFEAT SABETHA WITH 3 SECONDS LEFT

Marysville Lady Bulldogs defeat Sabetha girls with a three point shot from Marysville player Jessica Downard.  Downard scored 30 points including five three point baskets in the victory over Sabetha.
