The K-State equestrian team prospered in their first road meet of the season on Saturday afternoon at DeHaan Equestrian Center, as Kansas State defeated South Dakota State in a head-to-head battle, 11-8.
NOTES // Coming off its first loss in three weeks Friday against Texas, the Kansas Jayhawks will look to bounce back Sunday against Iowa State. The Jayhawks and Cyclones, both looking for their first victory in Big 12 play, will meet in Ames, Iowa for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The match will be available to be viewed on Cyclones.tv.
Hinton and Rychagova Take Third in Doubles, Stay Unbeated in Singles Saturday at Purdue Invitational
Sophomore Smith Hinton and freshman Anastasiya Rychagova teamed up for a third-place finish in doubles play Saturday at the 2015 Purdue Invitational. Hinton and Rychagova also posted wins in singles play at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

Kansas softball improved to 3-0 during the 2015 fall slate after sweeping the first day of competition at the Jayhawk Fall Tournament. The Jayhawks began the day with an 8-0 victory over Benedictine College in six innings and defeated Labette Community College, 3-1, in final game of the day.
Kansas football dropped its fourth-straight contest in 2015, 38-13, behind 175 rushing yards from Iowa State freshman running back Mike Warren. The Cyclones in total ran to 243 yards and three touchdowns as Saturday afternoon at Jack Trice Stadium.
Jayhawks swept the individual titles while the Kansas women claimed the team title in successful outings for KU cross country teams Saturday morning at the Rim Rock Classic. Senior Evan Landes earned the victory in the men's race in his first race of the season. Freshman Sharon Lokedi ran to an easy win in the women's race, also leading her team to first place in the team race.
