Frankfort Elementary along with Frankfort, Centralia, and Baileyville B&B High Schools have been awarded the Governor’s Achievement Award.  42 elementary schools and 18 high schools were recognized this year.  It’s Frankfort Elementary and B&B’s 5th award and Frankfort High School and Centralia’s 6th award.  202 students were honored January 4th during the Centralia/Frankfort basketball games in Frankfort. Train Derails Southeast of Fairbury

41 coal cars jumped the tracks southeast of Fairbury early Sunday morning around 1 a.m.  The Union Pacific said that the train was eastbound pulling 142 cars total.  No one was injured in the incident and the Union Pacific was working with heavy machinery to clean up the crash site.  The cause for the derailment is unknown at this time and it’s unclear how ...
