Centralia receives grant for soccer field

The STEP Foundation Board of Directors has announced the city of Centralia Parks has been awarded $3,000 to create a soccer field in Centralia. Odell Community Days this weekend

Benefit for Troops in Beatrice this weekend

Citizens that Care, a nonprofit group in Beatrice, is holding a benefit for troops this weekend. The day time activities will take place at the Beatrice Eagles Club. Accident sends six to hospital

Fire damages house in Marysville

The Marshall County Fire Department responded to a house fire in Northeast Marysville on Tuesday evening.  According to Fire Chief Richardson three trucks and 28 firefighters responded to 611 North 18th for a report of heavy smoke in the house.  Richardson said when firefighters arrived they found dense smoke on the main floor and flames in the basement.  The cause ... KDHE lessens the Centralia Lake warning to an advisory

KDHE has released an update on Centralia City Lake, in Nemaha County.  The KDHE states that levels are improving and the warning has been downgraded to an advisory to allow for boating and fishing at the lake.
