B and B School Board tables consolidation

The Nemaha Valley School Board Monday evening adopted a resolution to consolidate with B & B USD 451. West Nile virus confirmed in Jefferson County

A mosquito in Jefferson County, Nebraska recently tested positive for West Nile Virus.  This was the first mosquito to test positive this year for West Nile in the five county PHS District which includes Gage and Jefferson Counties. Marshall County approved for federal aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced that federal aid has been made available for Kansas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, flooding and tornadoes June 7th to July 21st.  The President’s actions make federal funding available to state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis.  ... KDOT Selects Marysville Trails Project For Funding

The Kansas Department of Transportation has selected 18 projects for inclusion in its Transportation Enhancement program for Federal Fiscal Years 2011 and 2012. Heat may endanger lives

State health officials in Nebraska are warning citizens about the dangers of heat-related illnesses. Temperatures of 90-plus degrees and humidity levels of 40 percent or more put people in the danger zone for heat-related illnesses.
