Friedens Lutheran Church Closes After 125 Years

Man Killed in One Vehicle Accident

Pawnee County Sheriff Jayme Reed says a Jansen, Nebraska man died in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 8 just east of the Pawnee-Gage County line early Sunday morning. Snowy Owls Sighted

Snowy owls have been seen in Washington and Nemaha Counties.  Snowy owls are about 2 feet tall with a wingspan that can reach up to nearly 5 feet long.
