The 4th Annual Jason Adams Memorial Trap Shoot will be held at the Centralia Lake on Saturday, September 6th. Registration to shoot and a meal begins at 11 a.m. A free will donation meal is also available to the public. Shooter registration fee of $25 includes the meal. Shooting categories are for men, women, and youth, ages 10 to 16. Proceeds from the Trap Shoot this year will benefit the Randy Elliott Family and Taylor Flentie Family; as well as the Jason Adams Memorial Scholarship, and donation to the Centralia 4th of July fireworks display. Come on out to the lake on September 6th and have some fun while supporting these worthwhile causes.
Aggieville, Kansas’s oldest business district, will celebrate its 125th birthday with a Birthday Street Fair and Dance on September 20, 2014. This event will take place on Moro Street of Aggieville starting at 10:00 AM.
This Birthday Bash will feature a state fair food cook-off, antique car show, carnival, maker faire, giant donut birthday cake, and dance. These events will highlight the charming atmosphere of one of Manhattan’s most loved areas.
“This celebration is a great way to honor the business owners and community members who have kept Aggieville growing over the years. Our goal is to see Aggieville still thriving in the community 100 years from now,” says Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Karen Hibbard.
