Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

Marysville teacher selected to be a Governor Teacher Fellow 2012

Kim Houtz, a Marysville High School Science Teacher has been selected as one of 14 educators from across the nation to be a Governor Teacher Fellow for 2012. Washington County Community Foundation Grant Recipients announced.

The Washington County Community Foundation has announced the 2012 grant recipients from the Washington County Opportunity Fund. The Hanover Senior Citizens received $350 toward the purchase of a microphone and speaker system for the Kloppenberg Center. Clay Center woman injured in accident Sunday evening

A Clay Center woman was injured in a one vehicle accident Sunday evening at the U.S. 36/K 15 junction west of Washington. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Charlotte Kidwell of Clay Center was driving a 2002 Buick when she drove through the intersection, coming to rest about 130 feet off the roadway. KDWPT can now make online reservations

Campers may now make online reservations in a site set up by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism at state parks, along with cabins at certain state fishing lakes and wildlife areas.  The new site can be accessed through the KDWPT website at ksoutdoors.com and is expected to increase the efficiency of the department’s camping reservations process.
