Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

Wymore Fireman Remembered


Wymore honored a fallen firefighter Saturday during the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, typically held in Kearney, but moved to Wymore this year, the 5 year anniversary of the death of Wymore volunteer fireman Jeremy Wach.  Wach entered a burning home in November of 2007, thinking there were people trapped inside.  Wach never came back out.  The service featured speeches ... One Man killed north of Frankfort Friday morning


A 2 vehicle accident occurred on Highway K-99 north of Frankfort Friday morning at 8 a.m. killing one man.  Killed was 20 year old Noah J. Pony Express Festival is this Sunday

The local historical society will be hosting a Pony Express Festival at Hollenberg Station near Hanover on Sunday, August 26.  The Hollenberg Station was established in 1857 as a weigh station for groups traveling on the Orergon-California Trail, by Geret and Sophia Hollenberg.  From 1860-1861 the building was operated as a Pony Express Station.  The original building still stands today ... Gage County Bridge gets go ahead for bidding process


A federal aid bridge in Gage County southeast of Wymore has gotten the go ahead for the bidding process. The bridge crosses Indian Creek at 51st Road southeast of Wymore and extends from River Street in Blue Springs to 1st Street in Wymore. Homestead Harvesters sing at Wrigley Field
