Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

Valley Heights High School celebrating Homecoming this week

Deadline approaching for Wymore Water Project


The Wymore Rural Water Project will begin construction soon.  Landowners in the area have until Sept. 28th to become part of the project at a current hookup fee of $1,100.  After Sept. 28, the hookup fee will increase to $5,000.  170 of the area residents have signed up for the project.  The Lower Big Blue NRD is sponsoring the $3.2 ... New Magistrate Judge to be sworn in


Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Ensley Deiter will be sworn in as the new Magistrate Judge  of the 22nd Judicial District Court during a ceremony on Friday afternoon at 3 in the Nemaha County District Courtroom in Seneca.  She was appointed by Governor Sam Brownback in August to replace her husband, Steve Deiter, who stepped down in June with two years remaining on ... Car Fire in Beatrice


The Beatrice Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in downtown Beatrice Friday afternoon about 3 p.m.  near Fifth and Court Street in front of Sunrise Bakery.  A Chevrolet Lumina had caught fire under the hood.  It’s thought the fire was started by an overheated wire.  No one was injured and the car was a total loss.
