Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

Major Windfarm in the future for Gage and Jefferson Counties

A major wind farm appears to be in the near future for Gage and Jefferson Counties. Camper Trailer destroyed in fire near Beatrice Wednesday

Beatrice Rural Fire Department was called to a camper trailer fire on West Belvidere Road last Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm.  When they arrived, they found the camper totally engulfed.  They were able to put the fire out and also worked to prevent a grain bin nearby from catching fire.  No one was injured in the incident. Axtell FFA hosting Food Drive this week

The Axtell FFA Chapter is hosting a district wide Food Drive this week, with their goal of collecting 2,000 pounds of food for Marshall and Nemaha Counties.  Food can be brought to Axtell High School or left out on your front porch on Friday morning in Axtell and students will pick it up. Apartments and Townhomes could be built in Marysville this fall
