Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

Man found dead in Nemaha County

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Wendell “Bunk” McLaughlin, age 77, of rural Corning on late Sunday evening.  The reports states that officers responded to a missing person report in southern Nemaha County, where family members said they were unable to find him.  After a short search, they found McLaughlin dead.  No other information was given in the report. New football coach hired at Washington County High School

Washington County School District hired a new football coach at their last meeting on March 11. Daniel Vaughn of Elkhart was hired to replace Phil Wilson, who will stay on as high school principal.
