Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.

44 wind turnbines approved in Gage and Jefferson Counties

The Gage County Board of Supervisors have unanimously approved a special use permit to extEra Energy Resources to construct 12 wind turbines near Diller and Odell. Jefferson County Board of Supervisors also approved their permit for 32 turbines to be built in their county. Voter turnout very low in the area

Voter turnout for the City and School elections around the area were very low, but about what was anticipated. Marshall County had the highest percentage of voter turnout with 26% while Nemaha County only had 1/2 of that at 13%. Washington County was in the middle at roughly 21%. Section of Highway 36 to have Crack Repair done

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas at a letting that took place on March 20 in Topeka. Former Marysville resident pleads guilty to embezzling more than $500,000

Former Marysville resident, Larry Lord, age 63, pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $500,000 from the commercial construction company, Cheney Construction, Inc. in Manhattan that he worked for from 1995 to 2012.
