Over $10,400 worth of tools and fuel stolen

10,400 dollars wiorth of tools and fuel were reported stolen in Nemaha County.  The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of tools and guel from a truck that was parked at 845 Ce Road in Centralia.  The sheriff’s department says the theft occurred sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.  Anyone with information is asked to contact ... Law enforcement memorial service scheduled

The Farm Service Agency reminds farmers that the June 1st deadline for enrollment into the 2010 Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) Program or the traditional Direct and Counter-cyclical Program (DCP) is rapidly approaching. Beatrice man killed by tractor

A rural Beatrice man was found under the wheel of a tractor. Chuck Benash, 55, was pinned underneath the left rear wheel of a tractor south of his home Monday morning.  The Gage County Sheriff’s Office reported Benash was last seen operating the tractor at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday.  Investigators believe Benash got off the tractor for an unknown reason.  ...
