Fire Destroys Pickup

The Washington Fire Department responded to 19 North B Street Washington for the report of a truck on fire. A mid 1990’s Chevrolet pickup was destroyed by fire. Propane Heater Starts Fire

On Saturday the Washington Fire Department was dispatched to 1548 17th Road for the report of a propane fire. A propane heater that was setting on top of a small propane bottle fell over. The only damage was to the propane heater and bottle. Read More »

Washington County Sheriff’s Report

On 020111 an officer was dispatched to 111 Elm Street in Hanover. As a result, Jonathan Snyder, Hanover was arrested on pending charges of Domestic Battery. Kansas Land Prices Soar

The price of agricultural land is soaring in Kansas and other Midwestern states. A national brokerage for farm and ranch land called Farmers National Co. released a survey recently. State is Delinquint on School Payments

A Kansas Department of Education official says the state has delayed a contribution to educators‘ pensions and postponed half of its monthly general state aid payments to school districts.
