Marysville City Council Discusses Water & Sewer Rates

Water and sewer rate increases were discussed at Mondays Marysville City Council meeting.  The council voted down a request by council-members Vicky Gross and Dennis Schroller that would have waived two remaining years of water rate increases planned. Beattie Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident Near Blue Rapids

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that a fatality accident claimed the life of a Beattie man Saturday evening. Robert Studer lost control of his motorcycle just east of Blue Rapids on U.S. Highway 77, shortly before 8 pm. Victim Identified In Marysville Shooting, Suspect In Custody

A man identified as 24 year old Derek Baynton of Marysville was the victim of a fatal shooting at a residence at 604 Walnut  in Marysville Wednesday evening just after 7:30.  The incident apparently began as a domestic dispute, and escalated with Baynton shot several times.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Authorities arrived and took a suspect in ... Series Of Fires Reported In Hanover Thursday Night

Firemen responded to another series of fires in Hanover Thursday night. Two residences and a warehouse owned by Hanover Electric were involved. The cause remains to be determined, and will be investigated.
