Snipe Bridge Replacement Project To Cause New K-99 Detour Near Frankfort

TRAFFIC SHIFT ONTO NEW DETOUR ROUTE: Northbound and southbound K-99 traffic over Snipe Creek bridge will be shifted onto a new detour route utilizing U.S. 77 instead of the original detour route on K-87, beginning sometime on Friday, August 8 in Marshall County. Due to the increased heavy truck and vehicle traffic on K-87, the roadway pavement is beginning to show signs of serious deterioration. Crews will install new traffic control on Thursday and Friday, August 7-8 and once in place traffic will be shifted onto the new detour route.

The new marked detour route is as follows: Northbound K-99 traffic will detour viand K-9 to northbound U.S. 77 to westbound U.S. 36 back to K-99. Southbound K-99 traffic will detour via westbound U.S. 36 to southbound U.S. 77 to eastbound K-9 back to K-99. See marked detour route map below.
