A farewell reception is planned Thursday, August 7th for River Valley Extension Agent Robin Reid, who has taken a position starting August 11th in the Agricultural Economics Department on the K-State campus in Manhattan. She will help organize statewide events and conferences, update annual publications, and help agents with farm management questions. One of her first assignments will include co-presenting a session on Kansas Pasture Lease Arrangements during the annual Risk and Profit Conference in Manhattan August 21 and 22. Reid has served the River Valley District the past four years, and will be recognized with a come and go reception open to the public Thursday, August 7th from 3-6 p.m. at the extension office in the Washington County Courthouse. In other news from that office, Linda Nutsch has announced that she will step down at the end of the year as a 4-H Program Assistant. She has served 23 years, and plans to continue involvement as a volunteer in the future.
