Nemaha County Sheriff Warns Of Telephone Scam

The Nemaha County Sheriff advises that residents have been receiving phone calls recently asking for banking, and personal information. The caller may indicate that they are affiliated with a bank or business, and the call may show up as a local number. Authorities report that these are in fact computer generated, and may be from another country. As a result, there is little law enforcement can do. Residents are encouraged to be aware of this scam, and confirm that any request for information is in fact legitimate. Contact authorities if you are uncertain.
