Marysville, KS – Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) is sponsoring a Food Handler’s Class on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at the CMH South Plaza Conference Room at 18th & Jenkins Streets. The course is being offered through the Riley County Extension Office and will be instructed by Ginny Bernard, County Extension Agent from K-State University in Manhattan.
The class will provide attendees with a certificate upon completion, as well as a food safety reference manual to take home. The fee for the course is $8.00. Please register by August 4, 2014 with CMH Dietary Director Erin Williams, RD, LD, at (785) 562-4471.
The class is recommended for all food service employees to help promote the service of safe food. Once the course has been completed, you should have a good understanding of what foodborne illness is, how it is caused, and what you can do to help prevent it from occurring.
