The Board of County Commission for Washington County met in regular session on Monday, May 5, 2014 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present: Alison Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, Chairman; Roger Otott, Vice Chairman, 2nd District Commissioner; and Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner. Denae Dimler, County Clerk, was present to record meeting minutes.
Next regular meeting will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at 8:30 A.M.
Chairman Mueller called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed County policy regarding the annual weed inspection performed by the County Weed Supervisor and the procedures for the Supervisor entering private property.
David Willbrant, Public Works Director, presented weekly work report.
Mary Tate and Anita Bott, Pawnee Mental Health Services, asked the Board to consider signing a proclamation declaring May as Mental Health Month.
The Board approved and signed official minutes from April 7, 14, 21, and 28.
Chairman Mueller signed an audit information form for KDOC regarding federal funds received by Washington County in 2013.
The Board received notice of Kansas Historical Society informing them that Lowe Center School, District #115 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Chairman Mueller signed an application for RARP rebate of $2,262.23.
The commissioners unanimously approved the following action:
1. To sign permit agreement for use of public right of way to install a private water line.
2. To sign Construction Engineering Agreement, prepared by KDOT, with CES Group for inspection services on a bridge by Palmer.
3. To sign Mental Health Month Proclamation.
