A forty unit housing complex is proposed for construction just east of the senior housing duplex units along 11th road, south of U.S. Highway 36 in Marysville. Sixteen apartment units would be split between one and two bedroom, with 24 three bedroom town homes. Recent approval of tax credit funding will move the $6.2 million project forward, with a Topeka development company, Pioneer Group, expecting fifteen months construction beginning in September. The property will be on tax rolls, with no requests for local government financial assistance. Seventy-five-percent of the units would be affordable housing, with the balance available as market rate.
