Semi Strikes Car Near Hanover; Sends Teen To Hospital

An injury accident was reported Thursday evening shortly before 6 p.m. at the Hanover junction on U.S. Highway 36. Nineteen-year-old Christopher Mayfield of Marysville was crossing the highway, and was struck by a westbound semi driven by 55-year-old Thomas Richey of Union Star, Missouri. A passenger in the Mayfield vehicle, 13-year-old Hunter Mayfield was transported to the Hanover Hospital with disabling injuries. The driver, Christopher Mayfield and another passenger, 14-year-old Jessica Larabee suffered possible injury, but were not transported to the hospital. The semi driver was not injured.
