Matthew Peters

UPDATE 3/14/14 – The Washington County Sheriffs Office is reporting this evening that Matthew Peters, who was missing from Greenleaf, was found deceased. The Sheriffs Department reports that they do not suspect any foul play and the investigation into his death continues.

A report has been made today in reference to a missing person from Greenleaf, KS. The missing person is Matthew Peters, DOB 12-17-65, approx. 5’6″, 170 lbs, and has gray hair. Matthew normally works on Thursdays and when the Twin Valley transportation vehicle came to pick him up on today’s date he was not at home. He has not been seen by anyone since Monday.

Matthew will frequently ride his bicycle or walk fairly long distances to reach his destinations so he is presumed to be on foot or on a bicycle. He has also been known to get a ride from people due to him not having a vehicle, but at this time we know of no friend or known person that has given him a ride anywhere recently. The circumstances involving him being missing are suspicious in nature at this point in the investigation. Any person having seen or have any information as to his whereabouts please contact the Sheriff’s Dept. at 785-325-2293
