Marysville, KS – Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) announces the selection of Diane Luebcke, RN, BSN, as the new Director of Nursing (DON) at the hospital, effective March 21, 2014. Community Memorial Healthcare is a community system that operates a critical access hospital, home health agency, durable medical equipment store, and four clinics with a medical staff of seven family practice doctors and a general surgeon.
Luebcke received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Washburn University, Topeka, KS, in December of 1994. Prior to her employment at CMH, Luebcke worked at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, where she served as a ward clerk in the Emergency Room (ER), an electrocardiogram (EKG) technician, student nurse technician and nurse. She has been employed at CMH since 1995, working as a floor nurse in nursing services, a Home Health agency nurse, and a surgical nurse in the Operating Room (OR). Prior to her appointment as DON, Luebcke served as the interim director of nursing.
Luebcke grew up in Frankfort, and is married to John Luebcke, a native of Marysville, who serves as the Assistant Vice President at Citizen’s State Bank of Marysville. They have three children: David, who is 18, and a senior at Marysville High School (MHS); Grace, 15, a sophomore at MHS; and Henry, 12, who is a 6th grader at St. Gregory’s Catholic School. They live near Herkimer.
“I look forward to my position as Director of Nursing at CMH, said Luebcke. “I have always enjoyed taking care of patients and I enjoy nursing in the rural health setting because it is always changing and new challenges are presenting themselves every day,” she added.
