Southeast Nebraska Cooperative In Discussions With Farmers Cooperative

A letter sent to patrons of Southeast Nebraska Cooperative of Beatrice recently indicates that the board has entered into formal discussions with the Farmers Cooperative Dorchester, to consider potential acquisition of Southeast by Farmers Cooperative. Discussions are in the preliminary stages, with no decisions yet rendered. Based in Beatrice, Southeast locations in Kansas include Herkimer, Bremen, and Marysville. Nebraska locations include Burchard, Ellis, Filley, Holmesville, Humboldt, Liberty, Sterling, Virginia, and Pawnee City. An open house Tuesday at Herkimer will showcase the recent expansion adding 800,000 bushels of storage.
