Food Allergy & Intolerances Program Scheduled

In today’s world, more and more people are developing sensitivities to wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, shellfish and/or fish. Sometimes, as in allergies, the sensitivities are so severe that they can be life-threatening. Other times, as in intolerances, the reactions aren’t life-threatening but can be painful and very uncomfortable. Food allergies and intolerances will be the topic of discussion sponsored by K-State Research and Extension, River Valley District.

The programs will be on Wednesday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. in Belleville’s Extension office meeting room and at 2:00 p.m. in Washington’s Extension office meeting room. The program will be repeated on February 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Concordia’s courthouse meeting room and at 2:00 in Clay Center’s Extension office meeting room.

The public is welcome to attend any of the programs. There is no charge but pre-registration is requested by calling the RVD office in Concordia at (785) 243-8185 to ensure adequate hand-outs are available.
