Missing Woman Prompts Search Of Tuttle Cove; Authorities Request Assistance

A missing St. George woman prompted a police search of Tuttle Cove on Monday at Tuttle Creek Lake. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Jane Peterson, 56, who was reported missing on Sunday.

Her 1999 Toyota Tacoma was found at Tuttle Cove at Tuttle Creek Lake. The Sheriff’s Department began searching the area around the cove with dogs, and called in the Riley County Police Department for assistance and the use of a helicopter.

Riley County Police Information Officer Matthew Droge says Peterson is not suspected of committing any crimes, and is no threat to the public.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat requests that any information on Jane Peterson’s location be shared with his office by calling 785-457-3353 or your local law enforcement agency.
