Marysville, KS – Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) is pleased to announce that Shannon (Voet) Bruna, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) has received her Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. She passed her vascular board examination on December 14, 2013 in Overland Park, KS, and received her credentialing through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Ms. Bruna is now dual licensed to perform both echocardiogram (echo) and vascular exams on patients. CMH will now be able to offer these services to patients instead of using contracted services from Bryan Heart or Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, NE. Bruna has worked at CMH since May of 2010.
Registered Vascular Technicians (RVTs) are specially trained and certified to conduct tests on patients’ cardiovascular systems for diagnostic purposes. Under the supervision and direction of a physician or surgeon, RVTs perform noninvasive ultrasound diagnostic procedures to diagnose potential disorders of the blood vessels, veins and arteries. The tests can look at oxygen levels, blood pressure and speed of the blood flow in veins and arteries.
Bruna is the daughter of Bob and Cindy Voet, Home, KS. Bob serves on the CMH Board of Directors and Cindy serves as an operating room (OR) registered nurse at CMH.
