Marshall County Board of Commissioners Meeting Minutes – Jan. 6

The Board of Marshall County Commissioners met in regular session with Robert S. Connell Chairman; Charles R. Loiseau and Thomas K. Holle members and Sonya L. Stohs, County Clerk present.

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.

The Board opened the meeting with the flag salute.

The minutes and agenda were approved as presented upon a motion by Charles R. Loiseau seconded by Thomas K. Holle. Unanimous.

Agency on Aging Director Heather Ruhkamp met with the Board.

Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Thomas K. Holle to approve the following purchase order. Unanimous.

  • Lefty’s Auto Repair, Marysville, KS for fuel pump replacement. $533.58-KDOT fund-P.O. # 4551.

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Thomas K. Holle to go into executive session for ten minutes at 9:28 a.m. to discuss matters of non-elected personnel with County Clerk Sonya L. Stohs present. Unanimous.

Public Works Administrator Mike Craig and Public Works Coordinating Supervisor Larry Polson met with the Board.

George Black, RPM Access Clean Energy Company met with the Board to give them an update on the Marshall County Wind Farm.

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Charles R. Loiseau to approve the following purchase order. Unanimous.

  • Pocket Press, Inc., Portland, OR for criminal and traffic law books. $683.24-Special County Attorney fund-P.O. # 4572.

The Board placed a call to the Marshall County Health Department at their request to discuss the reduction of the end of year transfer amounts from $50,000.00 to $25,000.00.

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Charles R. Loiseau to go into executive session for five minutes at 10:48 a.m. to discuss matters of non-elected personnel with County Clerk Sonya L. Stohs present. Unanimous.

Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to adjourn at 11:00 a.m. Unanimous. The next scheduled meeting will be Monday, January 13, 2014 starting at 9:00 a.m.
