Teen With Marshall County Ties Fatally Shot In Davenport, Iowa

An eighteen year old, with Marshall County ties, was fatally shot in Davenport, Iowa Friday morning. Thomas Nye Taylor, son of Todd Taylor, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Authorities termed it an isolated incident, and the person responsible for firing the weapon was interviewed. The investigation into the accident, which was reported around 4:30 a.m. Friday in Davenport remains under investigation. Graveside services were ... Injury Accidents Keep Washington County EMS Crews Busy

No Injuries Reported In Vehicle Collision With Apartment Building

No injuries were reported late Thursday evening in Beatrice as a vehicle struck an apartment at the Prairie Village Apartment Complex on East Scott Street. The vehicle involved was totaled, after the driver attempted to park, realized the vehicle was moving, and got back in, hitting the accelerator instead of the brake. Marshall County Extension To Host Webinar On Farm Bill

Weis Relieved of Duties as Kansas Football Coach; Bowen Named Interim Head Coach

Lawrence, Kan. – Charlie Weis has been relieved of his duties as Head Football Coach at the University of Kansas, KU Athletics Director Sheahon Zenger announced Sunday. Weis was in the third year of a five-year contract.
