Marysville City Council Notes

The Marysville City Council met Monday. The interlocal agreement for participation in the revised neighborhood revitalization program through Marshall County was approved. Discussion regarding the potential for using available surplus funds to pay off the 11th Street and curb and gutter projects early yielded no action. An earlier decision to pay off the bonds in February was affirmed. Boring work for ground samples is to begin this week on the tennis court project. Approval was given to proceed with adding a third life tile mural to the Seventh Street corridor. Total installed cost is roughly $37,000. Some $25,000 in private contributions is on hand, with funding anticipated for the balance. A question on determination of payment in lieu of taxes for Landoll Corporation on various building projects over the years, resulted in a clarification that the payments are determined by the original value of the property times the mill levy. City dump site hours are Saturday and Sunday 1-5, weather permitting.
