ONGOING: “Act of Violence” Reported at Manhattan Quality Inn Hotel

The morning quiet was broken this morning in Manhattan near the Quality Inn on Highway 24 in what Riley County Police are calling an “act of violence”.

Details are scarce at this point, but reports indicate that police responded to the Quality Inn at 6:02 a.m. for a reported disturbance. A suspected is reported to be in custody, and nobody was injured in the incident.

RCPD will hold a press conference at police headquarters at 2 p.m. today. We will try to get further details later today.
