SCC Celebrating International Education Week With Variety Of Activities

International Education Week is Nov. 18-22, and Southeast Community College and its Global Education Initiative has scheduled a variety of activities, all open to the general public.

Activities are set for each of SCC’s campuses.

Dr. William Waters, SCC’s Global Education coordinator, is excited that the College is offering events.

“Our events are meant to broaden cultural horizons, create new dialogues and to encourage new international perspectives for our students, employees and the public,” Waters said.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education and is celebrated every year during the month of November.

“It is an opportunity to celebrate and promote international exchange and international travel,” Waters said. “SCC supports the International Education Week Initiative and firmly believes that Global Education helps to prepare our students to be better informed world citizens and future leaders.”
