An injury accident was reported on Highway K-9 in Washington County Monday afternoon. Fifty-six-year-old Brian Smith of Frankfort went off the highway, and struck a culvert 7 miles east of Clifton at around 12:30 p.m. He was taken to the Clay Center hospital.
Last Thursday, Washington County authorities responded to a report of a vehicle accident at the Highway K-9/K-148 junction. They found no accident, but discovered a missing person from Jefferson County, Nebraska who was suffering from a medical condition. She was taken to the Washington Hospital, and later released to family.
Also last Thursday, an injury accident was reported in Nemaha County. Seventy-five-year-old Phyllis Hasenkamp of Centralia went off Highway K-187 and struck a culvert at 144th Road. She was taken to the Nemaha Valley Hospital in Seneca.
On November 10th, Cody Ohlde of Marysville was injured as he swerved to miss a group of deer. He overcorrected and struck a bridge bannister. Ohlde was taken by private vehicle to Community Memorial Hospital Marysville.
