Highland Community College To Hold Planning Meeting In Seneca

A meeting is planned with community and business leaders in Seneca Thursday with Highland Community College. They are seeking input regarding programs, services, and grant guidelines for a proposed “western center” regional trade and technical facility to open next fall in Nemaha County. Both high school and post-secondary students would be served. Program offerings are to be defined early in 2014, with fall enrollment. The USD 115 School Board on Monday voted to accept a negotiated $350,000 offer for the school, shop, and gymnasium in Baileyville from Highland for the center.
