A Seneca woman and her son from Sabetha were arrested Wednesday on Nemaha County warrants for theft of over $100,000 over the past 12 years from Lortscher Agriservice of Bern. Sixty-seven year old Elizabeth A. Schraad is charged with theft amounting to more than $100,000, and 44 year-old John F. Schraad is charged with theft amounting to over $1,000, along with felony theft. The pair was previously employed at Lortscher Agriservice. She was released on $100,000 bond, and he was released on $2,500 cash bond. The arrests follow an investigation for crimes which occurred January 2001, through July 10th of this year. A court date of September 3rd has been set in Nemaha County.
