Proposed Housing Project Tabled By Marysville City Council

A proposed 22 unit duplex housing development at the east edge of Marysville, near the new water tower, was sidelined at Monday’s city council meeting. Several property owners south of the site had expressed concerns regarding water runoff and drainage issues. With that in mind, the city planning commission earlier last month had recommended against the city rezoning the area, which would have allowed for development. Hearing those concerns, the developers of the project announced that they would withdraw the rezoning application at this time, but also asked the city council to address drainage issues along 11th Road in the area affected.
