Axtell Dairy Company Distinguished Dairy Award

The Buessing Dairy of Axtell was named winner of the Kansas Distinguished Dairy Award sponsored by Kansas State Research and Extension, and Kansas Farmer. The farm is operated by three generations, founders Richard and Kathy Buessing, along with their children Roger and Pam, Roy and Patricia, along with their children. The operation started with forty cows in 1971, and today includes the dairy, and a 1,500 acre farming enterprise, raising alfalfa, corn, soybeans, and wheat. The family was presented a traveling milk jug trophy, which they will hold for one year.
