Pony Express Re-ride coming thru town early Tuesday

The Pony Express Re-ride begins Monday June 17 in St. Joseph, MO at 10 am and will make it’s trek westward over a period of 10 days, 24 hours a day, covering 1,966 miles, ending in Sacramento, CA on June 27 at 10:30 am. The re-ride will be going through the area late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. It will be at the Seneca Museum at around 9:15 Monday evening and continue westward with a couple more stops before it comes into Marysville at around 4:15 Tuesday morning. From there, they will head to the Hollenberg Station with an arrival time of 6:45 am and move on into Nebraska at about 8 am Tuesday. Over 600 riders will participate in the re-ride.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
